2025 Chevrolet Spark Price, Release Date, Review – Small crossovers have a more cheap and fuel-efficient competitor in the 2025 Chevrolet Spark. The small hatchback from Chevrolet is one of the most affordable new vehicles available, but that doesn’t mean it’s of inferior quality. Better materials than anticipated are used inside the Spark, and the infotainment system is fully equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Because of the hatchback’s short back seat and limited cargo room, folding the rear seats is a difficult task. Even while we enjoy the manual transmission and the four-cylinder’s eagerness to rev, the engine’s poor passing ability is obvious at highway speeds. However, the 2025 Chevrolet Spark’s pleasantly smooth ride and agile handling both boost its value relative to competitors.
2025 Chevrolet Spark Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
The 2025 Chevrolet Spark steers clear of the subpar interior materials that are typical of vehicles this inexpensive. Despite being rigid in most cases, plastics fit together well and have appealing surfaces. The only really desirable amenities are heated front seats and leather upholstery. The driving stance is upright, similar to a crossover, and has a fold-down armrest for comfort. Climbing into the cockpit is simple thanks to the wide front doors and elevated seat height. Unfortunately, there is no lateral support and poor padding on the little front seats.
There is no denying that the rear seat is congested; to comfortably fit an adult, the front seats must be moved forward. Behind the Spark’s back seat, which has 11 cubic feet of cargo capacity, we managed to squeeze three carry-on bags. When the back seat is folded down, that volume rises to 27 cubes, making enough for a total of 15 bags. But it was a pretty awkward change. In order for the seatbacks to fold down before the bottom cushions could flip up, the front seats had to be moved forward. The cargo floor was far from flat even then. Similarly, loading luggage required raising it over the back bumper and up. The 2025 Chevrolet Spark’s interior features a shelf above the glovebox and compartments in the center console; however, there is merely a plastic tray in between the back seats.
Even the base 2025 Chevrolet Spark is equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen that is standard and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to a Wi-Fi hotspot. The infotainment screen is mostly operated by touch, although there is also a practical rotational volume knob and extra buttons. Below the middle stack are a 12-volt outlet and two USB connections.
2025 Chevrolet Spark Engine
Every Spark has a weak four-cylinder engine that powers the front wheels with either a continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) or a five-speed manual transmission. Fortunately, the gearless automatic efficiently controls power without making droning engine noise. The version we tried was responsive when traveling at modest speeds within the city, but as it picks up pace, be prepared to wait. This little hatchback is certainly not intended for lengthy drives, but it works well and is quiet in urban areas. The Spark’s fast lateral movements and steady motions make it simple to weave around stationary traffic. Without sacrificing ride quality, it can navigate in small areas because of its short wheelbase. Even so, the Chevrolet bounced across rough terrain, and the worst bumps were hardly isolated. However, compared to competing budget vehicles, the rattles and road noise were quieter. The Spark’s steering had a direct feel and let the driver’s hand know what the road was like. Additionally, it was calm at highway speeds and made lane changes simple without making the driver jittery. Strong reflexes from the hard brake pedal helped to rapidly and reliably reduce speed.
The Spark receives subpar EPA estimates despite its diminutive size and tiny engine. It is rated for 29 mpg in city driving with the manual transmission and 30 mpg with the automatic. Highway estimates for Activ models are 37 mpg and 38 mpg for the other versions. The Mitsubishi Mirage outperforms these numbers with a rating of up to 36 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway. The automatic Spark LT we tested on our thorough testing program’s 75-mph interstate fuel economy route returned 37 mpg.
2025 Chevrolet Spark Release Date And Price
The 2025 Spark receives just two new, additional-cost color choices, the lowest of updates: Mystic Blue metallic and Cayenne Orange metallic have been added to the list.
Although there isn’t a Spark that can be categorically described as “laden with content,” upgrading to the 1LT grade adds handy options like satellite radio and keyless entry. The $1100 continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), however, is not something we can endorse. Here is a reason to learn how to operate a manual transmission if you don’t already. The price of the fake off-road Activ trim is not justified. Keep things straightforward, like Chevrolet did with the standard Spark.
