Exterior And Interior Design
The 2025 BMW X4 M’s grille was the subject of our speculation back in January, and although it’s a bit bigger, it still doesn’t compare to the M4’s nostrils. While we’re talking about the front, BMW has lowered the headlamps by less than half an inch and surrounded the face with a more assertive bumper that has noticeable air vents. The side profile doesn’t reveal much, but the massive M Performance wheels and the enormous vented brake rotors are an absolute giveaway. The 2025 BMW X4 M displays more of its sporty side in the back, where a high-gloss black rear spoiler sits above a distinctive trunk lid and a M Performance bumper serves as the vehicle’s bottom protection. Eight colors are available for the 2025 X4 M, including some brand-new hues like Brooklyn Grey metallic, Bay Blue metallic, Carbon Black metallic, and the garish-appearing Sao Paulo Yellow.
Those who have ridden in the X3 M or even an M5 will be familiar with the layout because BMW maintains the interiors of its M Performance vehicles mostly the same. BMW will continue to offer its incredibly comfy M Performance bucket seats with illuminated insignia in 2025. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is completed with M contrast stitching, and the Merino leather package is once again offered in a variety of colors. To alert other passengers that they’re probably not secure, competition models’ seatbelts will be painted with the distinctive BMW color stripes.
The 2025 BMW X4 M will be equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional with iDrive 7. High-end Harman-Kardon audio equipment is also included in the infotainment system. Additionally, M vision is integrated into the interior, and M-specific functions have been added to the optional head-up display. On the steering wheel, special HVAC and setting buttons may be utilized to switch between driving modes.

The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged S58 inline-six engine has been modified to provide more power, enhance responsiveness, and lay down quicker acceleration times. Thank goodness BMW didn’t simply carry over the exact same motor from last year. With a boost of 13 lb-ft and 37 lb-ft, respectively, power now stands at an astounding 473 horsepower in the base X4 M and rises to 503 hp in the Competition model. Torque has increased to 457 lb-ft on normal models and 479 lb-ft on competition-spec vehicles.

The Competition model now requires only 3.7 seconds to reach 60 mph, while the X4 M now needs just 3.9 seconds (down from 4.1 seconds). Unless the M Performance option is ordered, the highest speed is 155 mph, after which it rises to 174 mph. An eight-speed automatic transmission and a M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with an Active M Differential are utilized to allocate energy to all four wheels.

The starting price of the X4 M, which excludes the $995 destination charge, is estimated to be $73,400 when it hits showrooms in September 2021. Although the cost of the Competition model is not yet known, we anticipate an increase in price of $7,000 for these cars. German rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S and Porsche Macan Turbo will compete with the 2025 X4 M. The BMW is up against some tough competition, but if the 2021 model is any indication, it needn’t worry too much.
