2025 Audi RS 5 Specs, Interior, Price – The year is 2023. You are a wealthy individual looking for a supercar for the weekends only, a practical station wagon or SUV for family responsibilities, and an executive business sedan to get you to your business engagements during the workweek. The only option is to get an Audi R8 V10 Plus, a Q3, and an A6 straight away; isn’t that true? Technically speaking, you could, but why bother when you can fit them all in a single vehicle? Introducing Audi’s response to our initial query, the RS 5. At the New York Auto Show, the 2025 Audi RS 5 was unveiled, and shortly after, it went on sale.
The 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that powers the Porsche Panamera 4S also powers the RS 5, which is somewhat longer than the ordinary RS 5 due to the installation of an extra pair of doors. The 2025 Audi RS 5 competes with the more traditional Mercedes-AMG C63 and Alfa’s Giulia Quadrifoglio, both of which lack all-wheel drive and a hatchback design, at a starting price of $74,200. Audi gets a win.
2025 Audi RS 5 Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
A second set of doors and a hatchback liftgate shouldn’t significantly detract from the attractiveness of the 2025 Audi RS 5, right? Despite not following the traditional lines of a GT coupe or even a shooting brake, the Sportback manages to look good. Audi’s Sportback features a sculpted body that is dramatically contrasted by gaping air vents and forceful hood lines. This draws attention to the front of the car, which is exquisitely emphasized in some of the more vibrant color options. The hints of a tough motorsport past aren’t that subtle, in typical RS fashion, yet oddly enough, it works out fairly well. Audi-typical LED headlights are as cool as hell, and substantial 19-inch alloy wheels fill the blistered arches.
The 2025 Audi RS 5 is constructed on the MLB Evo platform, which is used by the Volkswagen group, and is similar to its coupe sister from the front bumper to the B-pillar. However, the back of the car is one inch taller for passenger comfort, and the car is 2.3 inches longer overall as a result of the extra doors and hatchback rear. The Audi RS 5’s overall length is 188.3 inches, and its wheelbase is 111.2 inches. With the mirrors, the width measures 79.9 inches. The additional doors and everything else that comes along with them have increased the curb weight, which now stands at 4,057 lbs, or 89 pounds more than the Coupe. In the benchmark 0 to 60 mph sprint, the RS 5 loses a tenth of a second due to the added weight.
The inside of the 2025 Audi RS 5 is of unmatched excellence. It’s understandable why so many people rave about Audi’s ability to design an opulent interior. Huge expanses of leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber greet you inside the Sportback and work nicely with the straightforward dashboard design. The leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel, which also contains the infotainment, cruise, and shifter controls, is extremely tactile. The front seats are a wonderful combination of private jet luxury and racing car ergonomics. They are heated and provide a variety of adjustment options. You can even get a massage if you’ve had a hard day at the country club. Front and rear cross-diamond stitching look terrific, and there are illuminated metal door sill inlays as well as the required RS badging. Although the sloping roof limits headroom for the family’s six-footers in the back seats, they are still usable. However, the extra pair of doors makes the coupe more practical than a standard coupe.
2025 Audi RS 5 Engine
It shares an internal engine that was created with the RS 5 and Porsche Panamera 4S, the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6. This engine delivers power in a smooth, relaxed manner and emits a deep grumble, which is regrettably somewhat muffled by the turbochargers. It is best compared to an iron fist in a velvet glove. Some people may miss the linear urgency of the previous-generation V8 engine from Audi, but this new engine cranks out a ton of torque—443 lb-ft, to be specific. All of that pulling power starts to fade into a peak horsepower figure of 444 hp at just 1,900 rpm. The RS 5’s acceleration can rival that of a supercar with that much power. It can range from 0-60 mph in only 3.6 seconds and achieve a prime speed of 155 mph with an optional boost to 174 mph. Four wheels receive power through an eight-speed ZF gearbox. With so much available torque, the gearbox is happiest when left in automatic mode.
