2024 Kia Carnival Interior, Review, Colors – Introducing the fourth-generation Kia Carnival, a minivan from the South Korean manufacturer. Since 1998, the Carnival moniker has been used on vehicles all around the world. Kia has recently introduced it to North America. Additionally, it is the first model to have the brand’s updated logo. Fortunately, Sedona owners will find that the Carnival is everything they love about their existing minivans and much more. In a bid to draw in customers of crossovers and SUVs, Kia is marketing the 2024 Kia Carnival as an MPV and “Grand Utility Vehicle” (GUV), and the relatively harsh appearance reflects that.
Like other Kias, the new Carnival is loaded with standard equipment and continues the brand’s push toward upscale design with high-end materials and cutting-edge driver-assistance technology. Unlike many large crossovers, MPVs like the 2024 Kia Carnival feature a third-row seat that is more functional and can accommodate certain adults. And Kia is sure that the Carnival is just as ideal for those weekend adventures as it is for doing everyday errands.

Minivans, which are typically more rounded in appearance, fit right in in mall parking lots.With the 2024 Carnival, Kia aimed to alter that impression by adding some SUV swagger. The 2024 Kia Carnival boasts powerful, clean lines all around, including the most recent iteration of the “tiger-nose” grille, which is surrounded by LED headlights. The twin chiseled lines that converge at the top of the grille were specifically designed for the hood in Kia’s California design studio. Take note of the accentuated wheel arches and the cutline linking the front and back lights that operates the entire height of the automobile.
Two-tone side mirrors and black and chrome panel moldings, like the C-pillar, are available for a more upmarket look. The taillights are joined together by a light strip and feature a stylish geometric form. Reflectors and a rear skid plate reinforce the SUV’s appearance. Standard wheels are a set of 17 inches, while optional gloss black 19-inch wheels are also available.
The 2024 Kia Carnival has a more robust exterior but a stylish and contemporary interior. The high-gloss black surface on the console and dashboard is a great touch, as are the incorporated narrow air vents. There are three available interior colors. Standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charging, and 3-inch screens for the gauge cluster and navigation. Fully digital instrumentation and a 12.3-inch navigation screen are options. Passengers may also choose from a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, which includes up to nine USB connections distributed among the three rows as well as two 110-volt power inverters.
There are four trim levels available: LX, ES, SX, and SX-Prestige. All offer the best passenger capacity in their class (168.2 cubic feet), and all but the SX-Prestige feature segment-leading freight space behind the first row (145.1 cubic feet). Third-row seats may be folded into the ground. The Kia Carnival can hold up to eight people with the second bench seat removed. A second-row heated and ventilated “VIP Lounge Seating” arrangement with power controls, wing-out headrests, and leg extensions is an optional feature. The movable second row, which also functions as a table, is a feature of eight-passenger variations that allows for a variety of layouts.

No matter the trim level, the Sedona’s 276-hp 3.3-liter V6 has been replaced by a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque in the 2024 Carnival. An eight-speed automatic gearbox transmits power to the front wheels. With an EPA rating of 19/26/22 mpg city/highway, a 1 mpg improvement in the city, and a 2 mpg improvement on the highway, it is not only more potent but also more fuel-efficient.
Similar to its competitors in this sector, Kia states that it can pull up to 3,500 pounds. While developers used the same platform as the outgoing Sedona for the 2024 Kia Carnival, they reinforced and stiffened it for better driving characteristics.
