2024 GMC HD Interior, Changes, Release Date – With the introduction of the new Super Duty by Ford, the facelifted Silverado HD by Chevrolet, and the new 2024 GMC HD by Ram, this autumn has been a bountiful time for heavy-duty trucks. With updated looks, a better turbodiesel engine, enhanced capabilities, and a new range-topper in the form of the Denali Ultimate, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD is now taking center stage.
2024 GMC HD Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
The 2024 GMC HD receives a minor exterior update that mostly concentrates on the front part. Although the changes are insignificant, consumers will witness a new grille and headlights. Additionally, the latter receive dynamic illumination while approaching or commencing the pickup.
A revised front bumper with a more aggressive look and smaller fog lights is located farther down. Although there haven’t been many other alterations, the truck now features new taillights and modernized wheels. Six new hues have been added to the color palette: Downpour Metallic, Titanium Rush Metallic, Redwood Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, and Sterling Metallic.
The SLE and SLT grades’ brand-new interior is the highlight of the display. The “premium interior” of the AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate makes them even more opulent and looks to be the finest in class.
Buyers will get a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.4-inch infotainment system with Google integration as well as wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay; however, the 2024 GMC HD didn’t provide many specifications. The infotainment system also has a split-screen display, allowing drivers to have the music controls on the right and the navigation screen on the left.
In addition to the new screens, we can observe a contemporary dashboard, better materials, and sophisticated switchgear. A new center console and a relocated wireless smartphone charger connect them.
2024 GMC HD Engine
Under the hood is a 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine that has been upgraded with a new turbocharger, revised cylinder heads, and a redesigned combustion system with higher-flow injectors. These adjustments, along with others, have increased the engine’s output to 470 horsepower (350 kW/477 PS) and 975 lb-ft (1,320 Nm) of torque. This is an increase of 25 horsepower (19 kW or 25 PS) and 65 lb-ft (88 Nm), and according to GMC, low-end torque production has increased by up to 25% for better towing capability.
Customers may also choose the well-known 6.6-liter V8 engine, which makes 464 lb-ft (628 Nm) of torque and 401 horsepower (299 kW/407 PS) of power. The gas engine remains, but it is now mated to a 10-speed Allison transmission in place of the previous six-speed transmission.
Heavy-duty pickups are all about towing, therefore the Sierra HD 2500 Crew Cab will offer a best-in-class towing capability of up to 21,900 lbs thanks to the pickup’s new Max Tow Package (9,934 kg). The Sierra 2500 HD can tow up to 22,500 lbs (10,206 kg) in different combinations, which is 4,000 lbs (1,814 kg) more than the previous model. Additionally, the 3500 HD has a towing capacity of 36,000 lbs (16,329 kg).
2024 GMC HD Release Date And Price
