2025 BMW X7 Interior, Dimensions, Cost – This week, BMW extended an invitation to visit Spartanburg, South Carolina, which serves as its corporate headquarters. In the southern city, there is a sizable campus for the brand. We were shown to our weekend vehicle, the 2025 BMW X7, there, amid groves of trees and other vegetation. For the 2025 BMW X7, this year is what BMW refers to as a “LCI,” or life cycle impulse, if you don’t understand corporate marketing speak. It’s a redesign that adds some fresh sex to the premium SUV collection of the 7 Series flagship model.
According to BMW, the objective is to pamper seven people with elegance and technology that you won’t find in a Mercedes or an Audi. Big claim.

Exterior And Interior Design
The 40i xDrive and the M60i versions of the 2025 BMW X7 generated some debate when they were first shown. Similar to how they did when the M3 and M4 first appeared, they retreated towards the front end. The promising information is that it’s not entirely as awful in person. Yes, the nose is big and a touch gaudy, but the photographer’s lens frequently makes things look bigger than they actually are. The split headlights on the BMW make the SUV look a touch glum, and the M version leans more heavily into the car’s design, which doesn’t help.
Aside from that, the 2025 BMW X7 is a stylish SUV. Even with the car’s enormous (and optional) 23-inch wheels, the proportions are correct. According to what we were informed, these enormous wheels are a first for a BMW. Fortunately, the SUV doesn’t ride that way; nevertheless, more on that in a moment.
The driving is, of course, only a portion of the X7 experience. The intriguing part begins when you’re seated in the 2025 BMW X7. The company’s comfort chairs, which are exquisite, are now standard. However, as you sink into the car’s plush vegan “leather” seats, you quickly forget about our yearning for bolster adjustment on the passenger seat. 99% of individuals couldn’t identify the difference side-by-side, but a pro could. Our 40i needed to be told that it was vegan.
Of course, technology abounds. The front passenger compartment is dominated by BMW’s brand-new iDrive 8. The system does, however, have certain flaws. Just so much of it, darn it. Finding items may be difficult, especially when the system is sluggish and the iDrive controller might be bumped in a disastrous way. When it’s not, though, it can compete favorably with the finest of Mercedes and Audi. When combined with Voice Control and Driving Assistance Plus, the 2025 BMW X7 may sometimes be driven without the driver having to raise a finger.
2025 BMW X7 Engine
Although each of the X7’s two grades is AWD, each has a different powerplant. First, the 40i, which houses a vintage BMW engine: an inline-six 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine with 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. 40 horsepower and 52 lb-ft more than the model from the previous year. In all honesty, this powerplant is really powerful. Additionally, it is incredibly quiet and seamlessly disperses power all the path to the red stripe.
We were given a 48-volt hybrid motor setup explanation by BMW’s powertrain engineer with the enthusiasm of a five-year-old at Christmas. The motor of the unit is snugly seated with the gears inside the casing of the eight-speed gearbox from ZF. It can then be made to perform everything an inventive engineer would ask of it. It will fill in the low-end torque or momentarily enhance the torque to 398 lb-ft during strong acceleration. By pulling the left shift paddle for a full second, you may activate that. Thus, the “base” model accelerates to 60 mph in under 5.8 seconds. But maybe most importantly for a premium automobile, the 48-volt system can tame the start-stop mechanism. And it does, to the extent that the effect is hardly noticeable.
2025 BMW X7 Release Date And Price
The X7 senses that it is now the most opulent flagship in its class. BMW has been able to gain ground on Merc in this area since the GLS hasn’t yet received an upgrade (though one is in the pipeline).
The M60i starts at $103,100, while the xDrive40i starts at $77,850, making the X7 the best value in its class. But here’s the thing: You have to load up to get all the specs you desire, and as tested, our M60i cost $119,945 with $5,000 going toward the Frozen Grey Metallic paint job alone.
Although the M60i’s V8 may be desirable, the xDrive40i is the vehicle to own. We adore a V8, but the sporty characteristics of that vehicle aren’t what we like about the X7. You can obtain a wonderfully capable luxury car with all the performance you need from a vehicle of this size for around $26K less at MSRP.
