2024 Kona Review, Dimensions, Release Date – Hyundai just unveiled the brand-new Kona and Kona Electric for 2024. Hyundai’s Kona was the first SUV with a fully electric drivetrain to be sold in the US, and despite being a popular choice for drivers all around the nation, the Korean automaker isn’t resting on its laurels. Hyundai also promises a hot model in the shape of the Kona N, but it must contend with rivals like the Honda HR-V. Meanwhile, we get several appealing options, including a sporty N-Line variant.Can the 2024 Kona maintain its position as one of the greatest crossovers on the market with additional room and updated powertrains?

Exterior And Interior Design
The unique Kona is 1.6 hairsbreadths extended than the previous model, yet its athletic design effectively conceals this extra body fat. Stretched LED lighting housings and a stretched hood give the 2024 Kona an almost Lambo-Urus-like appearance, while matte cladding and skid plates give it a tough image. The base SE model comes with 16-inch wheels as standard, while the SEL has 17-inch wheels. Unique 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color cladding, a sharper grille, more false intakes, and a faux rear diffuser with a dual-exit exhaust system are all added to the N-Line model. A Limited trim is also available, and it comes with a unique set of 18-inch wheels. LED headlights are a standard feature on this model, although they are an optional feature on the N-Line and not available on the other two trims. All Limited models—aside from the basic model—come equipped with a sunroof and black roof rails.
The 2024 Kona’s inside is no less appealing but a touch less loud than the outside. A 4.2-inch instrument cluster display and an eight-inch infotainment screen with a six-speaker audio system are included as standard. The inside of the cabin has a cozy but appealing impression thanks to the fake metal and fabric upholstery. A 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM, a Harman Kardon Calri-Fi eight-speaker sound system, and a 10.25-inch driver information display are standard on the Limited grade and available on the N-Line.
It’s interesting that the highest trim only comes with three USB ports, while the other trims all have two. Wireless The smaller-screen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, whereas the larger display requires you to plug in your smartphone. There is also wireless charging available. On higher models and as a standard feature on the SEL, the front seats may be heated.
2024 Kona Engine
The 2024 Kona comes with two gas engines, the first of which is a 2.0-liter four-pot with 147 HP and 132 lb-ft of torque. The Smartstream Intelligent Variable Transmission, sometimes known as IVT, is a modern CVT that is coupled with this. This indicates that the previous six-speed automatic is no longer offered. The 1.6-liter turbo-four engine in the N-Line and Limited models produces an astounding 195 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Since a CVT would not work in this situation, Hyundai installed a seven-speed EcoShift dual-clutch automatic. Hyundai claims that maximum torque is available from as low as 1,500 rpm with a peak at 4,500 rpm, so this small engine should be fairly responsive. This is encouraging for the next hotter Kona N’s potential enjoyment factor.
2024 Kona Release Date And Price
Hyundai had not yet disclosed pricing details for the 2024 Kona at the time of writing. However, even with a little rise, we don’t anticipate pricing to deviate too much from the structure of the 2021 model. For comparison, the basic price of the 2021 SE base trim was $20,500 before shipping and other costs, while the base price of the top trim was $28,150. We’ll have to wait until the new Honda HR-V is unveiled in the US to learn its price, but based on previous upgraded Hyundai models over the past few months, the Honda may find it difficult to undercut the Kona’s price, whatever it turns out to be.
